Ashiq Ilahi

''ammad ‘Āshiq Ilāhī Bulandshahrī Muhājir Madanī () was an Indian Sunni Islamic scholar of the Deobandi movement. was a disciple of Hadhrat Shaikh Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhlawi.
Muhammad Ashiq Ilahi was born in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, India in 1343 AH (1924/1925). He completed his primary studies at Madrasah Imdadiyyah Muradabad and Jami' Masjid Aligarh. He then enrolled at Mazahir Uloom Saharanpur for higher education. After completing his studies, he taught in the town of Ferozepur Jhirka, the madrasah Hayatul Ulum in Muradabad, and different madrasahs in Calcutta. Later, at the request of Mufti Muhammad Shafi, he went to Darul Uloom Karachi, where he taught hadith and tafsir for several years.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.whitethreadpress.com/?p=31 )〕 He also assumed responsibility of the school's fatwa department (Darul Ifta), where he worked as a Mufti from 1384 AH (1964/1965) to 1397 AH (1976/1977).〔〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://darululoomkarachi.edu.pk/ucms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=57 )〕 Maulana Ashiq Ilahi later moved to Medina, where he passed the final twenty-five years of his life. He died in 2000 and was buried in Jannat al-Baqi.
His works have been well received in numerous countries. ''Tohfa-e-Khawateen'', ''Marne Ke Baad Kya Hōga?'', ''Islami Adab'', ''Huququl Walidayn'', and ''Anwarul Bayaan'', a voluminous commentary of the Qur'an, are among the well-known books that he wrote. In the field of hadith, he wrote ''Zadut Talibin'' and ''Al Fawa’idul Saniyya fi Sharhul Arba'een un Nawawiyya''. As for fiqh, he is the author of ''At Tashil ud Daruri fi Masa’ilul Quduri'', and countless reformative booklets and articles.
